  • Sustainable Urban Development and Real Estate. Global North and Global South. Trends, Developments, Challenges.
  • Urban Renewals and their Impact on the City and Property Values. Greek and International Experience-Examples. Brownfields, Gentrification and Flagship Projects.
  • Sustainable Management at the Building Scale. Basic Principles of Bioclimatic Design. 
  • Environmentally Friendlly Building Compositions/Constructions. Evaluation of buildings according to EMP, BREAM and LEED. The role of construction materials. 
  • Renewable Energy Sources at the Residential scale – Basic calculations. (PV, Geothermal, Wind, etc.) 
  • other energy saving strategies – best practices for walls, doors and windows (planted roofs, green facades, types of insulation, types of frames, etc.). 
  • Additions to buildings without Permits. Historical Evolution of the Legislative Framework. Presentation of examples. Effects on property values.
